Curriculum
The Study prepares pupils for the London GCE Advanced Level examinations of the Edexcel Foundation. The following subjects are offered: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Economics, English Literature, Accounts, Business Studies and Computer Studies.
Students present themselves for public examinations in May at the end of their first and second years. In exceptional circumstances and with permission of the Principal, pupils may present themselves for examination in January as well; it should be noted however that not every subject is examined at this time and pupils should take careful note of this before making such a request.
Students beginning their A-level studies in September 2008 will follow the new specifications for London GCE A/S and A/2 examinations; these will be examined first in May 2009 and 2010 respectively. The Board is prepared to allow pupils to present themselves for remaining modules of the former specifications; this is for a very short period however and pupils wishing to embark on such examinations should check carefully, the availability of same.
All pupils new to the Study will follow a short course in English for academic purposes.
